Punta Cana Vacation Packages By Apple Vacations The coastal zone is blessed with a warm subtropical climate. The year-round daytime average temerature is 82 degrees F. Travel to Punta Cana and be swept away into a secluded paradise, with forty miles of pearly beaches studded with palm trees, almost as pristine as when the island was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492. The crystalline waters where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic swirl in the vivid hues of indigo, turquoise, and aquamarine that you've seen only in your dreams. Drift in a hammock between towering palms dotting the beach and watch wisps of clouds float by. Golf at one of the world's most challenging courses, designed to take full advantage of the sea, sand, and breeze. Shop for local handicrafts and artwork, or precious stones such as amber or larimar found only in the Dominican Republic (Greater Antilles). Merengue was invented here, so dance the night away if you like - you may even spot a few A-list celebrities in this hot destination for the jet set. With all of these vacation options, it's the allure of the Dominican people, with their warm hearts, friendly smiles, and pride in their country that will keep you coming back again and again. La Cana Golf Course “La Cana was Unbelievable” This golf course was absolutely amazing. This was the first time I have played golf in three trips to the Dominican Republic, and I was skeptical at first because of the high cost. However, the people at La Cana pull off a challenging, well-kept, and extremely enjoyable round of golf. Of course the best part was the holes along the ocean (including #17 and #18) and the island green #12, but the little things such as nice fairways and greens made it great. Big thanks to my man James, our caddy, for being dead-on 95% of the time and an enjoyable person to ride with. Oh, and for humoring us by asking if we were professionals.
Bring a camera, a solid sand game, and a bottle opener for the ice cold Presidentes. There are waste bunkers bordering most of the holes and some well-placed traps that can add strokes to your game. We teed off early, around 9 AM, and I think we were one of the first groups out. It never seemed crowded behind us either. I will definitely play golf here again on our next trip and recommend this course to anyone who may read this. “A must see...” Indigenous Eyes Ecological ParkMy husband and I were visiting my daughter and she made arrangements for us to visit this area in Punta Cana. FANTASTIC. When she talked about "lagoons" I tought about Gilligan's Island. This was so much better. I saw things I had never seen before, except on TV. We had the opportunity to swim in one of the many lagoons...medicinal, I don't know but it surely was refreshing considering the heat! If you have any interest in Nature, this is a "must see!" |
Punta Cana vacations begin with choosing the right resort to match your preferences. In Punta Cana, resorts are full of activity, and everything you want is right there. By agreement, no resort is taller than the tallest palm tree. Do everything or nothing at all.
Try an optional tour to the most popular activities in Punta Cana. Whether you want to learn more about the history of Christopher Columbus' first settlement in North America, or want to party on a catamaran out at sea, we have the perfect tour for you.
