Our group (1 adult, 2 teens and 2 kids) took a lesson in Aug 08.
It's great fun, definitely the highlight of our trip to Hawaii.
The kids all still talking about how much they loved the surfing and wanted to know when we could go back to do more lessons.
The instructors were all friendly, encouraging and patient. They will tow you, they will help you back onto the board, basically they will try anything to help you learn and make sure you enjoy yourself. We definitely had a blast!!
The 2 little ones (age 6 & 7) had to take a private lesson as an age requirement. Their instructors were great. They talked to the kids, joked with them, made them relax and the kids had a great time Toward the end my 7 yr old was confident enough to try surfing on his own board, with great success too.
Our experience with Hawaiian Fire is amazing. Its the best fun, Truly an amazing experience.
