Manzanillo Mexico Vacations by Apple
The daily temperature ranges from 75° to 82° F, while nights cool off to a comfortable 63° to 75° F.
Built along the gorgeous Pacific Coast, with a definite Moorish-Mediterranean feeling; travel to Manzanillo may make you forget you are in the new world, with over 600 years of notable history and boundless untouched beauty. Choose from miles of white or black sand beaches, glistening bays, or charter a yacht and see the beauty of Manzanillo from the sea.
Set off on a course of adventure in sport fishing - after all, Manzanillo is acclaimed as the "Sailfish Capital of the World", with international tournaments held in its waters yearly.
Explore "Volcan de Fuego" an active volcano near Colima, the capital of Manzanillo. On the way back, visit the Palacio de Gobierno and the ruins of the San Francisco de Colima Convent, the second oldest convent in western Mexico. Both are examples of the region's beautiful neoclassical architecture.
Enjoy a round of challenging golf on lush fairways along the Pacific Ocean, or try out La Hadas, ranked by Golf Digest as one of the top courses in the world. |
“Surf holiday” Manzanillo BayHave been in Troncones before...beautiful part of the world with reliable warm weather, low humidity and great ocean temperature(nicer than Hawaii) when travelling in the winter months. Inn at Manzanillo Bay has nice accomodations and setting. Had read one review before going that sounded like 'sour grapes' but have to admit that we had similar experience...some staff were excellent like Dancy and Florencia, the housekeeping was excellent, but right from the moment of arrival it was like 'you are creating more work by checking in', and can't you see that I am busy. Just the little things would be great like a little summary of what is offered, intro to mosquito nets (too small for the beds and very annoying), hey there is a safe in the room, watch out for the rocks in the sandy looking bay, don't walk, shuffle to avoid a stingray stab that could ruin your trip, how to open the doors in the upstair apartments, hey we are going to shut the water off for a "while" and you may want to shower before that, that 4 foot iguana that likes to walk across your ceiling is harmless etc etc etc. I know that Mexico is laid back, but the other place just down the road that we stayed at was less expensive, way more friendly and accomodating. So, hopefully they will get the message from feedback and try to encourage return visits because if I owned this Inn, that would be my primary goal...a great experience and a return visit or referral to a friend. If I worked there I would try and be super friendly (and some were) to get great tips (Unfortunately, you tip at the end of the trip and I assume that it is shared amongst all.) We met several others at the Inn and they had the same experience of aloofness and indifference and for the price you may want to think twice. If you go, you will still have a nice time and the photos in the website are all accurate. So much potential. |
