Shipwreck Beach

Shipwreck Beach is worth going to if you are in Lanai. Most of the road is paved when driving from Lanai City to the beach, but the last part requires a 4wd. We rented a jeep which was nice for the last part. We didn't stay too long at the beach since we wanted to see others on the island, but I would want to stay there longer next time. As the previous reviewer said, there are lots of tide pools that would keep you busy for hours. There were only a couple of fishermen when we went, so the beach was pretty much empty. The beach also had some coconuts that seemed to have floated there; it almost seemed like you were on a deserted island. The water was really beautiful too, but when we went it was windy and seemed too choppy for snorkeling. The shipwreck was also interesting, but we didn't walk closer to it. Shipwreck Beach is a must see if you are going to Lanai!
