“Great Vacation”- Travelogue
Cozumel Palace
We wanted a place to chill & be pampered. We got what we wished for. Immediately upon on arrival we were given a wash cloth as the weather was very hot & humid. We then sat down to this tropical fruit drink that was so tasty. Veronica sat down with us & helped us plan our week, let me tell you a week is much too short of a stay. We then had our first of many beers!!! Everyone was so nice & the place is clean. Our room was beautiful, the double jacuzzi was fun, watch how much soap gel you use, those bubbles will get ya. There was a bottle of red wine in our room and during our stay, they brought in a plate of cheeses + another bottle of red wine. The fridge was stocked with bottled water, sodas & beer, we asked for some sodas to be removed & replaced with what we wanted, no problem. Oh yes, everytime you say "thank you" their reply is "my pleasure". The meals, can't say enough about the meals. Breakfast & lunch is buffet style & after you load up your plate, there is someone to take your plate to your table, talk about excellent service, they get an A+++. Dinner is presented like when you're on a cruise, the presentation is beautiful. Teresa is a doll, she's the activity person & so friendly not to mention darling. We snorkeled & saw pretty fish, we went to the ruin of Tulum, we visited Aventura Spa Palace----oh my gawd, this one is huge, all this was included. I liked staying at the Cozumel Palace because it's smaller but we are already thinking about staying at Aventura Spa on our next vacation. The nightly entertainment was great, so many costume changes, beautiful dancers (just ask hubby), & of course they had some silly entertainment too. We happened to be there on the date of the Mexican Independence Day & the fireworks were awesome. We met some nice couples that we hope to stay in contact with. And they do serve top shelf alcohol, I ended my evenings with a Bailey's, yum. This was our first all inclusive resort & it's the way to go. We became members of Palace Premier and are looking forward to our next vacation at one of the many Palace resorts.
