“Fantastic”

We have just returned from 2 weeks at Sans Souci. From the minute we arrived at the Couples Lounge in the airport it was fantastic. I won't comment too much on the airport! Expect a long wait which ever line you end up in. One tip though, check to the side of the baggage belt - the bags were being removed and left to the side which would explain why we had difficulty finding one on the belt! The bus ride to the resort is long but with a stop on the way and a great driver it passed very quickly. Check in was quick and easy and we were escorted to our suite which was large and clean but the bathroom looks a little tired. I understand that renovations are under way which will help. The resort itself is large and as previous people have said it has steps everywhere. No problem as they say in Jamaica just take your time. It also helps to work off a few of the extra pounds you will gain while there. We found the food excellent where ever we ate. We particularly liked Casanova's. The pool area is great with the swim up bar however the filtration system stopped working at one point so it was a touch dirty. They soon fixed this and it was back to normal in no time. The sunsets are beautiful and well worth a visit to sunset beach for. After 5pm you wear clothes!! The staff are wonderful and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment staff do a great job and work really hard but put no pressure on anyone to join in. If no one wants to "play" they do something else. Evening entertainment was very good and although similar the same act was not repeated each week. Wifi did not work in our suite but did work in the Balloon Bar and the lobby. There are also computers with internet access in the games room. We renewed our wedding vows while there which was wonderful. Everything was organised for us. One tip, we did not have a photographer as we had a friend taking pictures but the resort photographer was there without being asked. He takes pictures around the resort during the day and evening which you can purchase. He took several of our ceremony which were very good which we bought. These cost $50 for 5 plus a free frame. It is quite expensive to go from the UK but we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will be returning next year.
