The Pirate’s Island themed aqua-playground will unveil seven new slides, for a total of nine – allowing guests to choose between body and tube, as they wind down up to 300 feet of pure adventure. The park will feature a pool and aqua play area complete with water cannons, cranks and spray features. "Surfs up dude" at the all-new surf simulator, where adventure seekers will ‘crank it up’ on boogie and surf boards amidst white-water rafting and surfing conditions. Don’t be surprised to find this wave area the center of activity, where extreme sports competitions and invitationals will be scheduled. “Vacation of a Lifetime”
We just returned from a wonderful vacation at the Beaches Family Resort in Turks and Caicos. This was truly a vacation of a lifetime. The resort grounds are absolutely beautiful and the service more than exceeds expectations. It is an all-inclusive resort that is well worth the money.
On our visit, we stayed in the standard room wtihout the conceirge service or butler service, but still experienced exvellent service from the atendants. The luggage is carried up to your room for you and also carried down to the departure lounge for your departure. Once at the hotel, you are greeted with warm, moist towels to wipe your face and hands after the trip and the airport experience (the local airport leaves a little to be desired as it is small and very warm inside.) You are greeted with a drink upon arrival and then escorted to the lobby to check into the hotel. The desk attendant checks you in while allowing you to sit comfortably on the couches and chairs in the beautiful lobby and then personally walks you to your room ensuring that you find your way and don't need anything. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable.
The resort also offers ten dining choices ranging from formal dining to very casual accomodations. The food is plentiful and offers a wonderful variety at each of the meal services. You are also given plenty of time to enjoy your meals without feeling rushed. All the personnel working in the restaurants were wonderful and friendly. Restaurants are also open throughout most of the day allowing guests the opportunity to eat whenever they feel hungry.
The programs for the children are engaging and very well managed. Our children are ages 13 and 3 years old. They both had activities to participate in and thoroughly enjoyed the vacation experience. The day camp programs offer a variety of activities for the children and also have a schedule of activities allwoing you to decide which activiiteis are right for your child. It is also designed where children can come and go throughout the day allowing them to participate in actiivities they are interested in while still being able to spend time wth their families for other activiites.
The entertainment at the resort was wonderful. There is a different stage show each night that begins with the Sesame Street characters for the younger guests and then changes as the evening goes on to be more entertaining for older children and adults. They are all family oriented shows appropriate for any age child without having to worry about what they will be seeing or hearing. Most evenings the shows were also interactive involving the audience members and allowing guests to participate if desired
There are also several off--resort tours offered at the tour desk allowing families to experience more of the island attractions, if they desire. These tours are offered at an additional charge for guests, but there is more than enough to do on the resort grounds to keep guests happy and entertained for the cost of the vacation without needing to pay the additional fees for extra tours.
The pools and beaches at the resort are absolutely beautiful and provide plenty of seating and beach towels for guests to use. The resort offers fresh towels at each of the pools and keeps the towels well stocked ensuring that each guest can enjoy their vacation without having to worry with wet towels or packing enough beach towels for the family members.
Gift shops are available at the resort with a wide variety of gifts and souveniers for guests of all ages. There is a separate gift shop for children and then a gift shop that carries children's items as well as stuff for adults. The local artisans also set up on the resort grounds once a week displaying their handicrafts and offering guests the opportunity to shop for locally made souveniers without ever leaving the resort grounds.
The spa located at the resort is very nice and offers services for both males and females. They are also very welcoming to children and offer special services for teens. Our oldest daughter and I spent a Mother/Daughter day togerther at the spa enjoying a manicure, facial and massage. The services were provided in the same room allowing us to enjoy each other's company while having the services performed. My three year old daughter was then treated to a spa treatment with a mini-manicure tailored just for her. The staff at the spa was wonderful and very friendly to all of us making sure that each of us felt special and ensuring that my three year old felt like a princess during her manicure.
Everyone at the resort was super friendly and always willing to help if there was something you needed. We loved the vacation and it is truly something that we will never forget.
